Included here are the coastal zones surrounding the entire Mediterranean but not the Adriatic.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 2397 species in 560 genera and 87 families. There are 35 endemic genera (marked red) and 1 endemic family (Drosophyllaceae).
