Summary
Included here is Cocos Island situated in the central eastern Pacific about 523 km southwest of Costa Rica. It is the largest uninhabited island in the World with a surface area of 46.6 square kms.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 18 species in 17 genera and 15 families but there is reported to be 70 so further information is required. Rooseveltia? There are no endemic families but Humiriaceae is exclusively neotropic except for one species found in tropical West Africa.
